Animal skin rug

After a 5 month hiatus from this painting, while working on the mural at Navy Pier, I decided it was time to get back to it. Anyone who knows me, knows that this particular painting has been a struggle. That said, I'm really liking the way it's turning out. Here's some of the process so far! More to come!

Detail of blanket.

Detail of blanket.

I got to this painting after 5 months of letting it sit in the studio while working on the mural at navy pier. Here's what it looked like after adding a gold background and some golden rings to the blanket. The figures are still mostly untouched.

As I get close to wrapping this up, and while waiting for paint to dry, I've decided to prime my next piece. Get ready for some more pictures in the vein (and vainness) of Selfversations.
